Air Patrol MALL
Here's the direct link to this shopping program
- suggest you bookmark this link as a favorite and rename it: "Retail Mall
for CAP Donations" because, the opportunity to purchase items from many
well-known retailers, with the retailer donating a portion of the sale
proceeds back to the Tahoe Truckee Composite Squadron. The amount
of the donation varies with each retailer. You need to select
NEVADA as the state, so that you can then select Tahoe Truckee Composite
Squadron for this to work for our Squadron; once you have done that
each time you return to the site it "should" have our Squadron at the top
of the page so you don't have to go through the above procedure each time
-- probably only works that way when using the same computer.

What to do About Viruses?
Seems like at least once a week you hear something about a virus or worm
or something nasty moving through the Internet and trying to infect your
computer. It also seems like about once a week you hear something about
a virus hoax going around the Internet. Ouch! How do you know if you've
been nailed by a virus? How do you know if the email message your received
about a nasty virus is just a hoax? If you got a virus, how do you get
rid of it? Microsoft has a nicely done article with some useful tips and
answers to your Windows XP virus related questions over at:

AOL USERS
CatStuff --Download HELP for
AOL Users
"The AOL web browser is a modified version of MSIE. One of the modifications
is that by default it "compresses" graphics to an .ART format. The problem
is that when you save images off web pages in the AOL browser, they stay
in the .ART format - even if they are named with .gif or .jpg extensions.
This means that only AOL Web Browsers can view images on your page - nobody
else on the internet can see them!
Too, there is no paint program that can "read" and edit .ART format,
so if you are downloading images even for non-Web use, you likely won't
be able to use them.
The solution is to turn off the compression feature, or to download
and install an unmodified version of MSIE or Netscape (my preference)."
The AOL download instructions above have been reprinted on Web Clip
Art with the permission of Catstuff.
Here are several links to instructions to change the AOL compression.
Hopefully, one of these links will have the information you need for the
version of AOL browser you are using.
